Supreme Soy Sauce Noodles- Hong Kong Style Soy Noodles- Recipe
Hong Kong and Cantonese soy sauce noodles are served at many Chinese and dim sum restaurants.
This popular noodle dish is super tasty and easy to make with only a few household ingredients & common pantry items.
Typically Hong Kong egg noodles are used for this dish but in a pinch thin spaghetti noodles will do just fine!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 package of spaghetti noodles
Soy sauce marinade:
3 tbs light soy sauce
1 tbs dark soy sauce
1 tbs oyster sauce
1.5 tbs sesame oil
Black pepper to taste
1 tbs white sugar
3 tbs pasta water
2 tbs cooking oil
4 cloves garlic
2 stalks green onion (cut into 1 or 2" sections, separate white from greens)
Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
1. Prep all veggies. Cut green onions (2" long) separating whites from green tops, peel and slice onions and garlic.
2. In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients, set aside.
3. Cook noodles as per package instructions al dente, about 8-9 min (no salt, continuously mix so pasta doesn't clump together, drain and set aside. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.
3. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tbs oil over medium-high until it shimmers
4. Add garlic until fragrant, then add white part of green onions and toss for a minute.
