Kombucha Blue Sour

Sours are a family of cocktails that contain liquor, lemon or lime juice, and a sweetener. Gin Sours often sometimes also include egg white, which is used in sour cocktails to produce a thicker, smoother, and frothier drink.

Our take on the Gin sour includes kombucha and lemon juice for that added “sour”. The agave in this recipe balances out the flavor with just the perfect amount of sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz dry gin

  • 2 oz Seek Vitality Kombucha

  • 1 tbs agave

  • 1/2 medium egg (whites only)

  • 1/2 tbs lemon juice

  • 1 med egg (whites only)

  • 1 Lemon (optional garnish)

  • Couple drops of bitters

DIRECTIONS:
1. Pour gin, fresh lemon juice (egg white, optional) and agave into a cocktail shaker

2. Dry shake with above ingredients 1 min (dry shake just means without ice)

3. Pour in kombucha into shaker, add a cup of ice and shake a few times (not too vigorously since it is carbonated)

4. Pour cocktail in glass

5. Add a few drops of Angostura bitters with optional lemon twist to garnish (optional)
