Broiled Oysters On The Half Shell With Garlic/Lemon/Butter/Parmesan Sauce- Recipe
I once had these amazing baked oysters with a garlic & parmesan sauce in Maine that was amazing! Well, I recently stumbled on an old New England recipe book that had a similar recipe so I adapted to my palette.
So amazingly delicious and if you have a toasted baguette to dip into the extra butter sauce… I definitely recommend it!
INGREDIENTS
8-12 oysters on the half shell (I used White Stone Oysters -here-)
Butter Sauce:
1/2 stick butter, melted (melt in a small sauce pan)
2 cloves garlic, grated or minced
1/2-1 tablespoon lemon juice (to taste, if you like a little zest do the full tbs)
Spread on each oyster:
1-2 drops of Worcestershire sauce
1-2 drops Tobasco hot sauce
Sprinkle of paprika (optional)
Fresh parsley (finely chopped)
Parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
PREPARATION
1. Mix the butter sauce and set aside.
2. Pre-heated broiler on medium for 10 minutes.
3. Add in about 1/2-1 tbs of butter mixture on each oyster. Leave the oyster liquor (its juices in the shell, if there’s a lot of juice, pour some of it out so it can accommodate the butter/cheese mixture.
4. Sprinkle cheese and then some parsely on each oyster. Add a drop or two of Worcestershire and hot sauce on each oyster.
5. Arrange oysters and place the oysters in air fryer.
6. broil oysters for approximately 10 min until butter/cheese mixture is golden brown.
Serve with some lemon wedges, hot sauce, and bread. Yum!
